Grant Opportunities

Vermont Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Grant

The Agency of Human Services is accepting applications through October 12th, 2023 for the Vermont Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Grant Opportunity. The grant opportunity is part of an initiative funded by Section 9817 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 to enhance, expand, and strengthen Medicaid HCBS. The $20.9 million grant program is designed to address critical investments in infrastructure, enhance workforce capabilities, drive care model innovation, and strengthen provider processes. Premium Pay for Workforce Recruitment and Retention

On March 16, 2022, Governor Scott authorized $60 million for certain health care and social service employers to provide premium pay for workforce recruitment and retention. These funds have been made available to the State of Vermont through the Federal Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund and Section 9817 of the American Rescue Plan Act.
