Reporting Child Abuse
Reporting suspected child abuse or neglect: You do not need to prove that a child has been abused. An intake worker will talk with you about your observations. If there is enough information to indicate that the child may have been abused and/or neglected as defined in statute, the information will be accepted and investigated. Please call your nearest district office between 7:45am and 4:30pm weekdays-- click here for the phone number. After 4:30 you may contact the DCF emergency services program at 800-649-5285.
