A one day workshop designed to: Provide conceptual framework, basic tools and ways to promote and sustain collaboration in today’s work environment. Explore key leadership skills which are vital to collaborative efforts and ways to get others to collaborate
Methodology of this program will be highly interactive and include lecture, small group activities, and practice with utilization of collaboration tools.
Target Audience: This workshop targets managers, educators, preceptors, and staff that work together to provide and support to each other on a unit, area, or an organization to create a healthy and effective collaborative work environment. If you work with a group of people who need to work together for a purpose of working together to provide quality care you will find this workshop useful.
Objectives: On completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify the environment required for collaboration in the workplace
2. Determine the key components of collaboration and when to utilize collaboration.
3. Detect and avoid unhealthy patterns of working together in the workplace.
4. Discover how leaders can function as the ‘immune system’ to anxiety and stress.
5. Utilize consensus building tools, and a code of conduct to promote collaboration
6. Explore ways to take your ideas back to the workplace and get others to collaborate
7. Develop an action plan and time line for implementation

Presenter: Anne Walker, M.Ed. - Anne currently serves as senior faculty for VNIP intensive courses. She has over 20 years of experience working with organizations on developing collaborative environments and effective work teams.

Any VT nurse needing a scholarship for this program may apply by contacting the VNIP office.
Any agency that hosts a workshop (provides room and food) may send their staff to that session at no cost. Registration is required.
