On April 3rd, the theme will be "Understanding Core Concepts of Child and Brain Development" and will focus on current brain research and assessment of complex trauma in children and adolescents.

On April 4th the theme will be "Translating Core Concepts into Clinical Practice" and will focus on treatment of complex trauma for children and adolescents.

Trainer: Bruce D. Perry, M.D., Ph.D., is the Senior Fellow of the Child-Trauma Academy, a not-for-profit organization based in Houston, Texas that promotes innovations in service, research and education in child maltreatment and childhood trauma (http://www.childtrauma.org). Dr. Perry  is the co-author of The Boy who was Raised as a Dog: What Traumatized Children Can Teach Us About Loss, Love, and Healing, a popular book based on his work with children. Over the last 15 years, Dr. Perry has been an active teacher, clinician and researcher in children's mental health and the neurosciences holding a variety of academic positions.

Location: On April 3rd, the Sheraton Conference Center, South Burlington, VT; on April 4th, University of Vermont Davis Center, Burlington, VT

Cost: For single day $75 for students, $125 for general admission; for both days $120 for students, $220 for general admission.
