In this training, participants will learn clinical information about basic and advanced clinical group skills, various types of clinical group therapy--psychodynamic/supportive, cognitive-behavioral, relapse prevention, mindfulness-based skills, and will be involved in role-playing--various group therapy skills.

Objectives:
1) Participants will learn clinical information about basic and advanced clinical group skills.
2) Participants will learn about various types of clinical group therapy--psychodynamic/supportive, cognitive-behavioral, relapse prevention, mindfulness-based skills, etc.
3) Participants will be involved in role-playing--various group therapy skills.
Trainer: Anthony R. Quintiliani, Ph.D., LADC
Dr. Quintiliani has worked in the field of chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders since 1970. His experience includes prevention and intervention work in schools, clinical services (treatment, training and supervision) in clinics, outcomes research, and extensive graduate level teaching/supervision in higher education (Ohio State University, The University of Vermont, Southern New Hampshire University and Antioch New England). Dr. Quintiliani holds Graduate Adjunct Faculty Status at The University of Vermont, Southern New Hampshire University, Antioch New England Graduate School and Johnson State College. Dr. Quintiliani has presented over 1000 professional workshops during his career, and has written numerous articles and manual on various clinical topics. He now serves as the Chief Psychologist for The Howard Center (ABHS) and the Chief Trainer for The Vermont Addictions Academy on Co-Occurring Disorders. He also provides clinical training and consultation as part of the Vt. Department of Health's Co-Occurring Training Initiative (DMH and ADAP).
