This training is designed to orient and assist the professionals entering the role of Social Worker, Resource Coordinator, Support Staff, Supervisor or District Director within the first 6 months of hire. This seminar provides an overview of the knowledge, values and skills needed in the following areas:
- Overview of Federal Law and related policy & practice
- Taking thorough intakes
- Intake as social work; public relations & consumer satisfaction
- Familiarity with Structured Decision Making process from report through case determination
- Intro to investigation skills and the policies and laws which guide this practice
