This training is designed to address medical issues for the non-medical multi-disciplinary team member (CPS, law enforcement, attorneys). This one-day session describes the role and responsibilities of the medical provider, and medical issues, terminology and diagnosis as it relates to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse/neglect.

 

Contents:

 

Ø      Role of the medical provider in child abuse cases

Ø      Abusive head trauma (AHT)

Ø      Cutaneous injuries

Ø      Fractures

Ø      Child Sexual abuse
