This training is designed to orient Family Services Caseworkers and Community Partners to the Effective Casework Model, which will be applied to all case types. This particular training has an emphasis on delinquency and unmanageable cases, but most of the training can be applied to any case type.
· Develop Motivational Interviewing Skills
· Learn the basic principles which underlie the ECM
· Become familiar with the items in the Youth Assessment Screening Instrument (YASI)
· Learn about assessing motivation to change in youth and their families
