Updates on sites – no updates to announce since last meeting. Notes from meeting later this morning with BGS & AHS in Waterbury will be included in the Weekly Electronic Update. (see below)
Discussion generated questions and issues for the consideration of the Implementation Team:
1. Q: In light of the current air quality issues at North Avenue, what kind of cleaning process will take place at the new sites prior to staff relocation? Will there be standard or extensive duct cleaning to assure no mold/bacteria is present? Both sites have been unoccupied for a number of years and the heating/cooling systems have probably not been running at full capacity. What is the plan?
A: The assumption is that BGS has a system in place with all of its contracted properties regarding cleaning and maintenance and since our regular BGS rep was not present at the meeting, we will send this question to BGS for a more thorough response.
2. Q: Since there are no windows on the lower level of the 101 Cherry Street site and hence no natural light, will there be accommodations made to provide full spectrum lighting on this floor?
A: The assumption is that there are BGS guidelines regarding this issue and we will send this question also to BGS for a response.
3. Q: Given this is a 2 year plan, what will happen next? Will we be able to use the CCV space when that contract runs out?
A: Our priority at this point is of course moving forward with this relocation to 101 Cherry St. and Williston. As soon as this is accomplished we will begin to work in earnest on the permanent plan for BDO. Ultimately the goal is to have a large AHS “campus” presence in the downtown Burlington area with smaller offices in both the northwestern and southeastern sections of ChittendenCounty. A possible scenario could include the CCV space; nothing is being ruled out at this point.
